Rules?!? We don't need no sticking rules!
These are expectations, for some people, they need to be put as rules.
Crane Meadows is a wellspring of peace, tranquility, and calmness. It is a magical place shared by family and friends who love and respect each other. Poison in the well breaks the spell, so leave your troubles at the front gate!
-
Respect all-property and people. We can disagree and still be respectful to one another and eachother's opinions.
-
Leave drama and negativity at the front gate. (Picking it up when you leave is optional.)
-
Clean-up after yourself. Please put your trash in a can. Don’t leave your messy dish or cup sitting on the table. Flush the toilet. Whatever mess you make, please clean up. It makes life easier for you and for everybody else. There are two trash cans with black lids, one inside and one outside, which are for miscellaneous trash. Trash containing perishable food products such as meat and vegetables goes in the kitchen trash can right by the oven. The gray trash can by the door is also miscellaneous.
-
Recycle. Crane Meadows values maintenance of the environment. We try our best to recycle whenever we can. We recycle aluminum cans, plastics, papers, and cardboards. Each in its place. Don’t put food or dirty items in the recycle bin. The recycle bin for plastics is in the honey house, it has a white lid with two white and green recycling stickers. The recycle bin for the cans is outside right next to the white refrigerator to its left (it is usually filled with cans). There is a small black trash can outside on the front porch to the left of the door for burnable cardboards and papers.
-
Breaking bread with family and friends. We love meals with family and friends! Especially when there’s enough food! Please tell us before Friday if you plan on joining us for any weekend meals. Otherwise, please bring a proportional amount of food as a contribution to the meal so that there is enough for everyone if you plan on joining.
-
Giving back. A good way to give back to Crane Meadows is to have a “take-5” rule. Taking five minutes to clean something such as dishes, stick piles, a toilet, a door, the sink, the yard, or anything else, is an excellent way to make life easier for yourself and everybody else while keeping Crane Meadows in ship-shape!
