Crane Meadows

The property that has become Crane Meadows was initially purchased by Therese Rodgers and Cameron Crane in 2011 as a place to retire to. Plans were to get into beekeeping in their retirement. A honey bee hive in the water meter box quickly changed the the site to a beekeeping startup. Through hard work, innovation, ingenuity, and a willingness to learn, the land was developed from a neglected backwater with potential to the site of relaxation and tranquility that so many people hold dear today. However, over the years, it evolved to become a site for social gatherings in general. Unfortunately, a decent amount of our hives were lost in 2017 by Hurricane Harvey. Beekeeping still plays a role on these 13 acres, but focus has been put on building out the facilities and creating a "maker's space".
